According to Rob Mortimer, CEO of FuelR4m and STYREX, parking in the shade, using fuel reformers, and understanding how different cars handle the heat are key to saving fuel.

Older petrol cars and turbocharged engines are particularly vulnerable to increased fuel consumption in extreme heat.

David Thorne, service manager at I Service Any Car, emphasizes the importance of regular car maintenance, including checking tire pressure, coolant levels, air filters, engine oil, and air conditioning systems.

He also recommends strategies to reduce air conditioning load, such as using recirculation mode, parking in the shade, and setting the climate control to a moderate temperature.

By combining smart habits with seasonal vehicle care, UAE motorists can cut fuel costs even when the heat is at its peak.
