The announcement was made during the General Department of Operations’ first-quarter performance review, chaired by Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri, Assistant Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police for Criminal Investigations.
The strategy aligns with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. Major General Al Mansouri emphasized the Operations Department’s crucial role in public safety and the rapid deployment of patrols and emergency teams.
By categorizing regions as urban or rural, police can better address the specific needs of each area, such as traffic control and crime prevention.
This new zoning model is expected to bolster operational efficiency and support innovative police services, helping to maintain Dubai’s status as one of the safest cities in the world while enhancing community satisfaction.
