Authorities report that unsuspecting individuals are being lured into these schemes, believing they are purchasing genuine high-end timepieces. However, upon receiving the items, buyers often find that the watches are fake.
In addition to watch scams, police have cautioned against bogus trading platforms and fraudulent job advertisements designed to extract money or personal information.
The police urge the public to remain vigilant and to verify the legitimacy of online sellers before making any financial transactions.
They emphasize the importance of reporting any suspicious activities or scams through the toll-free number 8002626 (Aman service).
