Saudi Arabia Doubles Exit/Re-Entry Visa Fees

The Saudi government has announced an amendment that doubles the fees for exit/re-entry visas and the renewal of Iqama (residency permit) for expatriates who are outside the Kingdom, as reported by the local newspaper Okaz.

New Fee Structure

Exit/Re-Entry Visa Fees

  • Single Travel:
    • SR200 for a maximum of two months.
    • An additional SR100 for each extra month if the expatriate is inside the Kingdom.
    • Fees double for each additional month if the expatriate is outside Saudi Arabia while the Iqama remains valid.

  • Multiple Travels:
    • SR500 for up to three months.
    • An extra SR200 for each additional month if the expatriate is inside the Kingdom.
    • Fees double for each additional month if the expatriate is outside the Kingdom.

Iqama Renewal Fees

The amendment also affects the renewal of the Iqama for expatriates’ dependents and domestic workers who are outside the Kingdom.

The renewal can be processed through the Interior Ministry’s electronic portal, but the fees will be twice those charged for individuals inside Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia, with a population of approximately 34.8 million, hosts a significant community of migrant workers, making these changes important for many expatriates residing in the Kingdom.
