It ensures accurate location identification down to one square meter and is mandatory for both individuals and businesses.

Components of the National Addressing System
The system consists of six main parts:
- Building Number: A unique four-digit number that identifies a commercial or residential building.
- Street Name: Indicates the exact location of a building, entrance, or shop among multiple structures.
- Neighbourhood: Represents the area where the buildings are located.
- City: Encompasses all neighborhoods, street names, and building numbers within the area.
- Postal Code/Zip Code: A five-digit code that designates a specific geographical area, such as a neighborhood or community.
- Additional Numbers: Similar to the building number, consisting of four digits for further identification.
How to Register Your National Address
You can register your address through the Saudi Post website or via the Absher platform, which is the electronic service portal of the Saudi Ministry of Interior.
Step-by-Step Registration via Absher
- Visit absher.sa and log into your account using your username and password.
- Click on ‘My Services’ on your dashboard, then select ‘General Services’.
- Locate the ‘National Address’ service and click on it.
- Select ‘Register New National Address’.
- Enter the required details:
- Region
- City
- District
- Building number
- ZIP code
- Additional number
- Ownership type (own/rental)
- Property type (villa/flat)
- Check the boxes to confirm that your information is accurate and that you agree to the privacy policy.
- Click on ‘Save’.
Once completed, your national address will be linked to your Absher account.
