How UAE Drivers Can Pay GCC Traffic Fines Online

UAE motorists who have received traffic fines while driving in neighboring GCC countries, such as Oman, Kuwait, or Saudi Arabia, can now settle these fines online without leaving the UAE.

The process is available through the Dubai Police and Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) apps.

To pay fines via the Dubai Police app, users should follow these steps:

  1. Open the Dubai Police app or visit the official website at www.dubaipolice.gov.ae.
  2. Navigate to the menu and select “Services.”
  3. Under the “Traffic” category, choose “Fines Inquiry and Payment.”
  4. Select the GCC country where the violation occurred from the dropdown menu.
  5. Enter the fine number and the year it was issued.
  6. Complete the captcha verification and click “Search.”
  7. If the fine is found, users can review the details and pay online using a credit or debit card.

Alternatively, through the RTA Dubai app, users can:

  1. Go to the “Services” section.
  2. Select “Pay Fines for Others.”
  3. Enter the fine number, fine source, and year as prompted.
  4. Click “Search” to retrieve the fine and proceed to payment.

This initiative simplifies the process for drivers to clear cross-border fines without needing to visit the issuing country.

For those who received fines while driving rental vehicles, the rental company typically handles the payment directly.

This development aligns with ongoing efforts by the GCC to unify traffic fine systems and improve compliance with traffic regulations across the region.
