Officials stated that the primary aim of these fraudulent messages was to steal personal and financial information from citizens and residents. Victims were lured into clicking malicious links, which prompted them to submit sensitive data, including credit card details and other confidential information.

The Ministry has urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid clicking on suspicious links received via SMS or messaging applications. Residents are advised not to disclose any personal or financial information through such means.
Reaffirming its commitment to cybersecurity, the Ministry emphasized that it will continue to pursue individuals who attempt to compromise information security or personal data. Legal measures will be taken against those found to be involved in such criminal activities.
