Saudi Arabia Announces Discovery of 14 New Oil and Gas Fields

The newly identified fields comprise six oil fields and two reservoirs of Arabian oil, alongside two gas fields and four natural gas reservoirs.

Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz expressed his congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

He highlighted the discoveries as a testament to Saudi Arabia’s commitment to economic growth and sustainable energy development.

Key Fields and Production Rates

Among the notable discoveries is the Jabu oil field, where Arabian Extra Light Oil was found flowing at a rate of 800 barrels per day (bpd) from the Jabu-1 well.

The Sayahid oil field also showed promising results, yielding 630 bpd. The Ayfan oil field was particularly noteworthy, with production reaching 2,840 bpd and an associated gas output of 0.44 million standard cubic feet (MMscf) per day.

In the realm of natural gas, the Ghizlan gas field emerged with a flow rate of 32 MMscf per day and 2,525 barrels of condensate.

Another significant find was the Araam gas field, producing 24 MMscf per day with 3,000 barrels of condensate.
