Saudi Arabia Limits E-Transit Visa Access to Travelers from 18 Countries

Saudi Arabia has restricted eligibility for its electronic transit visa, commonly known as the e-stopover visa, to travelers from a specific list of countries, as reported by Cairo 24.
Under the new policy, the visa will only be issued to passengers traveling from or to countries classified by the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority as “Group A.”

List of Eligible Countries
The following 18 countries are included in this group:
- Canada
- United States
- Austria
- Cyprus
- France
- Germany
- Greece
- Italy
- Netherlands
- Spain
- Switzerland
- United Kingdom
- China (including Hong Kong and Macau)
- Malaysia
- Maldives
- Singapore
- Thailand
- Turkey
- Mauritius
A source familiar with the changes informed Cairo 24 that the service is strictly available to travelers whose flight itineraries either originate from or are destined for one of these countries.
Purpose of the Policy
This policy aims to streamline the visa process and focus on passengers with clearly defined travel patterns.
Saudi Arabian Airlines has also emphasized that travelers must hold a valid visa for at least one of the approved countries and must have previously entered that country using the same visa.
This condition is intended to ensure compliance with the Kingdom’s updated visa regulations.
