Introducing the New Metrash App: Your Guide to the New App
In December 2024, the Ministry of Interior (MOI) launched the new Metrash app, a vital upgrade from the now-discontinued Metrash2 app. As of March 1, 2025, Metrash2 is no longer available, and users are encouraged to download the new app to seamlessly access MOI services directly from their smartphones.

What is the New Metrash App?
The Metrash app represents the latest evolution of the Metrash2 platform, designed to enhance user experience with over 440 services, including 100 new offerings. Leveraging artificial intelligence and modern digital technologies, the app ensures a more convenient and intuitive way to interact with the Ministry’s services.

How to Activate the New Metrash App
Activating the new Metrash app is straightforward. Users can log in using the same credentials from Metrash2:
- Download and open the Metrash app.
- Select your preferred language: Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Spanish, or Malayalam.
- Enter your Qatar ID (QID) number and passcode.
- Receive an OTP on your registered mobile number and enter it.
- Review the Terms & Conditions and click “Confirm.”
What’s New on the Metrash App?
The Metrash app introduces a range of enhanced features:
- Security Services: Access additional services related to security departments.
- GCC Services: Gulf nationals can renew or replace ID cards.
- Personal Authorization: Authorize someone to perform specific tasks on your behalf with a time limit.
- Profile Management: Access your digital wallet, including QID and licenses, with an improved user interface.
- Family Authorization: Enable family members to perform services on your behalf for a defined period.
- Certificates: Request and reprint various certificates easily.
- Inquiries: Verify details on individuals, sponsorships, travel history, and more.
- Biometric Login: Use facial recognition for seamless access.
- Modern Design: A fresh interface enhances user experience.
- Notifications and Alerts: Stay informed about application statuses and processes.
- New Payment Options: Pay dues via Apple Pay and view financial information.
- Data Sharing: Share information through email or text.
- My Procedures: Access a detailed history of your actions within the app.

- Security: Lost reports, police clearance certificates, and more.
- Citizens: Travel pass issuance, national service, and document management.
