New Variable Parking Rates in Dubai Set to Begin on April 4

Dubai’s parking areas managed by Parkin will introduce new variable pricing likely from April 4, 2025. This change aims to adjust rates based on peak and off-peak hours throughout the day.

According to Parkin, the tariffs for off-peak hours—10 AM to 4 PM and 8 PM to 10 PM—will remain unchanged, aligning with the current tariff structure. Notably, these rates will not apply on Sundays and public holidays.

In Zone A, premium on-street parking rates during peak hours will be Dh3 for 30 minutes, escalating to Dh24 for up to four hours.

Off-peak rates will slightly decrease, with 30 minutes costing Dh2 and four hours at Dh16. Standard parking rates in Zone A also vary based on peak and off-peak periods.

Similar adjustments will be made in Zones B, C, and D, with peak and off-peak rates defined for various time increments. For instance, in Zone B, peak rates for one hour will be Dh6, while off-peak rates will be Dh3.

These adjustments are part of Parkin’s broader strategy to optimize parking management in congested areas and improve traffic flow, particularly during peak times and major events in Dubai.

The company had previously announced plans for the new rates in December, and the rollout is aimed at enhancing parking efficiency across the city.
