Despite suffering injuries from broken glass and the impact of his fall, Khan acted quickly when he saw a yellow SUV trapped in rising waters near the Coca-Cola Arena on April 16.
He leapt into the water and used a hammer to shatter the car’s roof, helping the occupants escape.
Overwhelmed by the recognition, Khan described the experience as surreal, stating, “I just did what anyone should do in such a situation.”
He immediately shared the news with his family back in Meerut, India, who expressed their pride in his actions.
Khan’s courageous rescue, captured in a viral video, showcased his selflessness during a time of crisis, inspiring others to help those in need.
