Qatar police arrested 3 people for reselling World Cup tickets

Qatar police arrested 3 people of different nationalities for reselling tickets for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ outside the official outlets specified for that and approved by FIFA and the host country.

Violating the text of Article No. (19) of Law No. (10) of 2021, which states However: (FIFA has the sole and exclusive right to issue, sell, distribute and sell tickets, and it is not allowed to issue, sell, resell, redistribute or exchange tickets without a license from FIFA or its authorized representative).

The concerned authorities call on the honorable public to abide by the applicable laws and procedures regulating the process of reselling tickets in order to avoid the penalties stipulated in Article (38) / paragraph (2) of the same law.

The law states that “a fine of no more than two hundred and fifty thousand riyals shall be imposed on whoever:  Violation of the provisions of Article (19) / second paragraph) of this law.

The penalty shall be multiplied by the number of tickets subject of the violation, and in all cases the court shall order the confiscation of the violating materials, and the accused have been referred to the competent authorities to carry out the procedures followed in this regard.
