Understanding Saudi Premium Residency: Nine Key Benefits Explained

Saudi Arabia has launched its Premium Residency program, updating its Expatriate Residency Law to allow various categories of foreign investors and talented individuals to obtain residency without a sponsor.
Since its introduction, over 1,200 foreign investors have secured this residency, according to Khalid Al-Falih, the Saudi Minister of Investment.

The Premium Residency permit grants foreign nationals the ability to live, work, and own businesses and property in the Kingdom.
Applicants can choose between a one-year renewable option or an unlimited duration permit, applicable to all nationalities who meet the eligibility criteria.
Key benefits of the Premium Residency include:
- The ability to bring family members, including parents, spouses, and children under 25.
- Exemption from dependent fees of SAR 400 per month for each dependent.
- The right to run a business independently.
- Ownership and usufruct of property in Saudi Arabia.
- Simplified exit and re-entry processes without the need for a visa.
- Easier job transitions within the private sector.
- The right for family members to work in the private sector.
- Eligibility to obtain visit visas for relatives.
- Access to dedicated tracks for citizens and GCC nationals at airports.
Eligible applicants include skilled individuals, talents in various fields, investors, entrepreneurs, and property owners.
