10,295 Illegal Residents Deported in Just One Week

The Saudi security forces have successfully deported 10,295 illegal residents within a single week, as part of a nationwide crackdown on immigration violations.

From January 23 to 29, a total of 21,564 individuals were arrested during joint security operations conducted in collaboration with various government agencies.

Breakdown of Arrests

Among those apprehended, 13,883 were found to be violating the Residency Law, 4,668 were in breach of the Border Security Law, and 3,013 were violating Labor Law regulations.

The Ministry of Interior reported that 27,127 violators were referred to their respective diplomatic missions for the processing of travel documents.

Additionally, 1,477 individuals were arrested while attempting to illegally cross the border into the Kingdom, with 41% being Yemeni nationals and 52% Ethiopian nationals.

Furthermore, 90 people were caught trying to leave Saudi Arabia unlawfully.

Legal Actions and Penalties

The crackdown also led to the arrest of 18 individuals involved in facilitating the illegal entry and employment of these residents.

Currently, 34,680 illegal residents are undergoing legal proceedings as part of the punitive measures against them.

The Ministry of Interior has issued a stern warning that anyone aiding illegal immigrants—through transportation, shelter, or other services—could face severe penalties, including up to 15 years in prison and fines reaching SR1 million. Vehicles used in transportation or homes providing shelter will also be subject to confiscation.

Reporting Violations

The Ministry encourages citizens to report any violations by contacting 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions of Saudi Arabia.
