About the Role

As a Mason, you will be responsible for helping us achieve this ambition:

• Perform all skilled masonry works not limited to maintenance works, airfield pavement repairs and construction in accordance to standard operation procedures, specification and standards best practice in order to accomplish high standards of quality works.
• Read and understanding drawings, checklist, work orders provided by the Supervisor/Technical Officer so that works can be executed accordingly and obtaining desirable end results.
• Responsible to assist supervisor in identifying material to be ordered in advance and submit purchase requisition for processing requests to order materials promptly, accurately and on time.
• Assist Store to check material deliveries for accuracy in quantity and free from any defect.
• Perform airfield pavement maintenance and construction work, including laying of building materials, including block, stone, brick, asphalt, concrete, all masonry works and other general works, following in accordance to standard best practice and achieving highest quality of workmanship.
• Mix concrete using concrete-mixing equipment, and/or hand tools in accordance with specification and standards to ensure strength and consistency.
• Coordinate, interface and liaising with other disciplines as necessary to ensure co-ordination and execution of assigned tasks (ex. construct new brick wall that contain power socket- liaising with electrical technician for the duct and socket installation).
• Monitor tools and electrical equipment in proper working condition at all time and report any unsafe conditions in order to avoid unwanted incident.
• Always works in accordance to company Standard operation procedures, method statement, risk assessment and safety procedures ensuring meeting the deadline given to the highest quality workmanship.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

About You

• High School graduation
• High School Qualification with Minimum 1 year of job-related experience
• Experience in concrete using concrete-mixing equipment, and/or hand tools in accordance with specification and standards to ensure strength and consistency.
• Experience in repair of water-proofing layers, Erection/Installation of concrete bollards and barriers.
• Ability to take instruction and execute accurately in a speedy manner and to demonstrate willingness and enthusiasms towards works.
