About the Role

Shipping and receiving goods, issuance of stock and inventory control and also involve physical work as well. Inspects the materials before receiving and reports it and then takes proper action to put the materials in store. Gathers information about the vendors and verifies the receipt and issuance of materials.

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Check all stocks received into and going out of the stores to ensure accurate records are kept in AX securing the company’s assets. All transactions to be executed using an HHT.
  • Supply all locations as and when requested, with the necessary stocks to aid in maximizing sales, while minimizing disruption to the operational location.
  • Organise the warehouse so that stocks are stored in a correct manner and are easily accessible for picking for when supplying to the shops.
  • Implement all guidelines in relation to Health and Safety, and immediately report any accidents or breaches of Health and Safety rules to provide a safe working environment.
  • Participate in stock counts to capture accurate records in AX to identify any stock issues quickly to minimize potential losses.
  • Communicate with colleagues, supervisors, administrative staff, and officers in a timely manner to ensure smooth operational process.
  • Make sure all discrepancies (shortages, overages and damages) found while performing the job are reported in a timely manner.
  • Handle safely as per SOP the stocks requiring special locations with the DC.
  • Verifies stocks against documents for agreement as to quantities, descriptions, sizes, conditions and conformance to purchase order.
  • Execute the assigned work in a timely manner to support the team in achieving the required KPIs.
  • Follow the respective SOP when performing the job.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications

Without a Degree:

  • High School Qualification with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience

OR

With a Degree:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 1 year of job-related experience

Essential

  • Experience operating warehouse equipment such as Order Picker, Pallet stacker, Pallet Jacks etc.
  • Valid Driving license.
  • Operational experience of MHE equipment including VNA, Forklift and Reach Truck.

Preferred

  • Trade or Vocational Qualification.

Job Specific Skills:

  • Knowledge of warehouse layout and organization is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management (Ex.: FIFO Method)
  • Can Do attitude.
  • Organizational skills along with basic mathematics.
  • Knowledge of storeroom methods and procedures
  • Knowledge of the characteristics, uses and proper handling/storage techniques of items supplied.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain stock records, reports & inventories
  • Ability to provide functional supervision
