Qatar PM Condemns Israeli Attack on Doha, Labels It ‘State Terrorism’

DOHA: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, strongly condemned a recent attack on Doha by Israeli forces, calling it a “treacherous act of state terrorism” that threatens regional stability and represents a dangerous precedent in violating national sovereignty.
Speaking at a press conference following the incident, Sheikh Mohammed declared that Qatar “will not tolerate any infringement on its sovereignty” and affirmed the country’s right to respond to what he described as a blatant act of aggression.

“The State of Qatar was subjected to a treacherous attack by the Israeli occupation, targeting the headquarters of the Hamas political bureau during ongoing negotiations,” the Prime Minister said. “This was an attempt to destabilize the region and a message that there is a rogue player undermining peace and security.”
Investigations and Safety Measures Underway
The Prime Minister confirmed that, under directives from His Highness the Amir, Qatari authorities have launched a full investigation and implemented safety protocols in response to the incident.
He also offered condolences to the family of Corporal Badr Al-Dosari, who lost his life while performing his duty during the attack.

“The security of our citizens is our top priority,” he stated. “A series of decisive measures will begin immediately to ensure such violations are not repeated.”
Legal Action and Diplomatic Steps
Sheikh Mohammed announced the formation of a legal team led by HE Minister Mohammed Al Khulaifi to address the attack through international legal channels. He criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directly, accusing him of “political thuggery” and attempting to reshape the Middle East through violence and intimidation.
“Netanyahu has openly declared his intention to reshape the region. Will he also attempt to reshape the Gulf?” Sheikh Mohammed asked. “The entire region must unite to confront this barbarism before it pushes us beyond the point of repair.”
The Prime Minister emphasized that the attack not only violated international laws but also disrespected Qatar’s role as a mediator in regional conflicts.
“Qatar has been working tirelessly to facilitate negotiations and create opportunities for peace,” he said. “Yet, even with U.S. involvement and full transparency, the Israeli side chose sabotage over diplomacy.”
International Reactions and U.S. Notification
Sheikh Mohammed revealed that the U.S. informed Qatari officials of the attack only ten minutes after it occurred. However, he noted that Qatari defense radars failed to detect the incoming strike due to its covert nature.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly spoke with His Highness the Amir to condemn the attack and express support for Qatar’s position.
Qatar is now engaging with allied and friendly nations to coordinate an international response and seek accountability through diplomatic and legal avenues.
Commitment to Regional Stability
The Prime Minister reaffirmed that Qatar’s diplomacy is rooted in stability and will not be derailed by acts of aggression.
“This attack is a clear message about the nature of Israeli policies — rooted in treachery and the deliberate undermining of regional stability,” he stated. “Qatar remains determined to safeguard its sovereignty and defend regional peace through all available legal and diplomatic means.”
The attack comes amid ongoing negotiations facilitated by Qatar at the request of the United States, efforts Sheikh Mohammed now says have been critically undermined by the strike.
