Qatar Extended Deadline For Tax Penalty Exemption To December 31, 2025

The General Tax Authority has announced an extension of the application deadline for the 100% Financial Penalty Exemption Initiative until 31 December 2025, responding to increased interest from taxpayers.

This extension aims to maximize the number of taxpayers who can take advantage of the available exemptions, supporting their efforts to regularize their tax status.

Taxpayers can apply for the initiative via the Dhareeba platform, which also offers ongoing support and guidance to promote transparency and foster a culture of tax compliance.

The initiative has already yielded impressive results, with over 7,000 taxpayers granted exemptions from financial penalties totaling more than QR 1.6 billion.

Additionally, more than 56,000 tax returns have been submitted, including overdue returns from 2014 to 2024, significantly improving the overall tax compliance rate.
