This initiative is part of broader reforms designed to accelerate Oman’s digital transition in commerce.

Accompanying the golden visa launch will be the “Al Majida Companies” initiative, which seeks to support high-performing Omani firms, and a new service for the electronic transfer of commercial registrations via the “Oman Business” platform.

Mubarak bin Mohammed Al Douhani, the Director-General of Planning at the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, emphasized that the golden visa program is intended to provide investors with long-term stability and growth opportunities, while also incentivizing Omani businesses to expand both locally and internationally.

These reforms reflect Oman’s commitment to fostering a sustainable business environment through regulatory improvements and support for local firms.

They align with government efforts to modernize the construction sector through partnerships with academic institutions and the private sector.

Oman’s golden visa program follows similar initiatives in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, aimed at attracting foreign investors by offering long-term residency rights.
