Funeral Held in Makkah for Saudi Student Stabbed in UK

Thousands gathered in Makkah on Friday to pay their respects to Mohammed Al-Qassim, a 21-year-old Saudi student who was fatally stabbed in Cambridge, United Kingdom, where he was studying.

Funeral Details
- Service Location: Funeral prayers were held at the Grand Mosque following Friday prayers.
- Burial: Mohammed was laid to rest at the Al-Shuhada Cemetery.
Legal Proceedings
In connection with the incident, British police have charged a 21-year-old man from Cambridge with murder. Additionally, a second man in his 50s has been arrested on suspicion of assisting the offender.

- Main Suspect: Identified as Charles Corrigan, he appeared before Cambridge Crown Court on Wednesday, where he denied the murder charges, claiming self-defense.
- Court Proceedings: A hearing is scheduled for September 8 to review a motion to reinstate the murder charge, with a full trial expected in February. Bail was denied for the suspect.
