DUBAI: As summer approaches, UAE residents seeking hassle-free holiday options have several enticing destinations that offer visa-on-arrival facilities.

Azerbaijan and Georgia are rising stars among UAE travelers. Both countries have become popular choices, with several travel packages available that include flights and accommodations.
UAE residents can apply for an eVisa online or opt for a visa on arrival, both costing around Dh140. Travelers must ensure their passports are valid for at least six months and that their UAE residence visas are valid for at least three months.
The Maldives continues to be an attractive option, granting tourists a visa on arrival for up to 30 days. Travelers need a machine-readable passport, a complete travel itinerary, and proof of sufficient funds for their stay.
Seychelles also welcomes visitors with a visa-free entry, provided travelers have a valid passport, return ticket, confirmed accommodation, and sufficient funds for their stay.
Uzbekistan allows UAE residents to enter without a pre-entry visa, requiring only a valid Emirates ID and passport. A 30-day visa-free entry is granted upon presenting these documents.
Kenya has introduced a new Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) for travelers, which must be obtained before arrival. The process is straightforward, and the eTA costs approximately $34.
Additionally, Indonesia offers an electronic visa-on-arrival for residents of 97 eligible countries, including many from the UAE.
Lastly, Armenia has opened its borders to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) residents, allowing visa-free stays of up to 90 days starting July 1, 2025.
