Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during this period, as the initiative is expected to cause traffic diversions. However, the project aims to enhance connectivity and boost economic growth in the emirate, promising long-term benefits.

The Etihad Rail project, designed to revolutionize transportation across the UAE, will connect all seven emirates and link the UAE with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

This national railway network spans over 1,200 km and is expected to reduce road congestion and carbon emissions.

Sharjah plays a vital role in this infrastructure project, acting as a central transit hub that enhances accessibility to logistics hubs and neighboring emirates.

The railway will ultimately provide faster and more eco-friendly transportation options for residents.
