UAE Visa Guide: Check Visa Requirements and Visa-Free Eligibility

The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) has introduced a new online visa check tool to assist travelers in determining their visa eligibility.

This initiative is particularly beneficial for citizens of over 80 countries who can enter the UAE without applying for a visa in advance.

Travelers can easily access the tool on the MOFA website. By selecting their country from an interactive map or using the search bar, users will find one of two results: either they do not need a visa prior to arrival or they must apply for one in advance.

For those eligible for visa-free entry or a visa on arrival, the length of stay varies, with options for 30-day or 90-day visas depending on nationality.

Indian passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival if they possess valid visas from specific countries, including the United States, EU nations, and several others.

For travelers whose nationalities require a visa, applications can be submitted through UAE-based airlines, licensed travel agencies, or by sponsorship from UAE residents. Tourist visas are typically available for durations of 14, 30, or 90 days.

Travelers are advised to check the latest entry requirements before booking their trips, as visa policies may change.

For further information, official resources such as the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs are available.
