According to Gaurav Keswani, founder of a Dubai-based advisory firm, the program will evaluate candidates based on their potential impact on the local ecosystem, moving beyond mere investment size.
Since its launch in 2019, the Golden Visa has issued over 158,000 visas in Dubai alone, with 40% going to investors and 60% to professionals in various sectors.

The program now emphasizes specialized skills, particularly in AI, IoT, and cloud computing, to support the UAE’s strategic growth. As the government seeks to optimize capital influx, attracting top talent has become a priority.
The Golden Visa continues to offer a 10-year residency for a wide range of individuals, including outstanding students and highly qualified professionals.
With ongoing adjustments, the program is expected to include more categories in tech and climate sectors, providing greater opportunities and flexibility for skilled workers.
