Ruba Al Hassan, Director General of Strategic Affairs and Future Foresight at DGE, highlighted the successful pilot programs that have led to the rollout of AI-driven recruitment tools.

With AI handling up to 2,000 applications for a single vacancy, HR departments can focus on the top candidates that meet specific criteria.

Additionally, the DGE has introduced an AI Objective Builder that assists in performance planning, allowing for quick approvals of objectives tied to job roles and team goals.

This shift towards a more fluid approach to performance reviews emphasizes ongoing dialogue rather than traditional metrics.

The DGE is also exploring gamification within its internal learning app and utilizing virtual reality for immersive training experiences. These innovations aim to enhance employee engagement and improve skill development.

Overall, the DGE’s efforts reflect a broader trend in the UAE towards leveraging technology to improve efficiency and employee satisfaction in the workplace.
