Dubai Opens World’s Largest Visa Application Centre

Dubai has officially opened the largest visa application centre globally, located in Wafi City.
The facility was inaugurated by Helal Saeed Almarri, Director-General of Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, alongside Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director-General of the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs, and Zubin Karkaria, CEO of VFS Global.

The new centre spans nearly 150,000 square feet and is capable of processing up to 10,000 visa applications daily, making it the highest-capacity location worldwide.
Almarri emphasized that this milestone enhances global mobility and aligns with Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33, focusing on attracting talent and boosting tourism.
Al Marri highlighted the achievement as a reflection of the UAE’s commitment to excellence and innovation in government services.
Karkaria noted VFS Global’s long-standing presence in the UAE and its dedication to supporting the nation’s growth as a global business hub.
The centre aims to serve over 200 nationalities, demonstrating Dubai’s commitment to becoming the world’s most connected and future-ready city.
