200 Mist Fans Installed to Cool Air at Jamarat Squares
Gulf Trick
In preparation for the Hajj season, the eastern squares of the Jamarat facility in Mina have been equipped with 200 mist fans to provide cooling during the stoning ritual.
This installation is particularly important given that Hajj coincides with the summer months.
Cooling Technology: These high-powered mist fans utilize advanced mist air cooling technology, which absorbs thermal energy from the surrounding air to reduce temperatures.
Temperature Reduction: The mist fans can lower the air temperature by 3 to 7 degrees Celsius, providing a more comfortable environment for pilgrims.
Water Distribution: The fans are connected to pumps and water tanks, using high-pressure systems to spray a fine mist of cool vapor over the area.
High-Pressure Mechanism: Water is pumped under high pressure into specialized pipes equipped with tiny nozzles, creating a mist composed of numerous cold water particles that absorb heat from the air.
Advantages of Mist Fans
Energy Efficiency: Mist fan systems are more suitable for cooling open spaces compared to traditional compression cooling systems, which are often costly and energy-intensive.
Effective Cooling: Studies have shown that mist fans effectively lower outdoor temperatures, enhancing the comfort of pilgrims as they perform their rituals.
This initiative demonstrates the commitment to ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for Hajj pilgrims during the challenging summer heat.
