4. Shuttle Buses and Licensed Taxis

Increased Capacity for Hajj 2025

To accommodate the high demand during Hajj 2025, the Saudi Transport General Authority (TGA) has launched a comprehensive plan, which includes:

  • More than 25,000 buses and 9,000 taxis specifically for transporting pilgrims.
  • Deployment of 180 inspection supervisors across 20 sites at the entrances to Mecca, Medina, and other sacred sites to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
