The biometric systems are set to be adopted across key sectors, including government, banking, telecommunications, healthcare, hospitality, and insurance, where accurate customer identification is crucial.
The technology complies with national data protection laws and emphasizes both security and convenience.
The ICP stated that the full-scale rollout of these systems is expected to be completed within the next year, following a phased approach that began with the digitization of basic services.

Strategic partnerships with leading organizations are being pursued to integrate biometric solutions into their platforms.
This initiative aligns with the UAE’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at simplifying processes and enhancing service delivery.
The ICP’s commitment to innovation is also reflected in its “Government Bureaucracy Elimination Plan,” launched in August 2024, which seeks to reduce inefficiencies in government services.
The introduction of biometric ID systems marks a significant step towards a fully digital ecosystem, reinforcing the UAE’s position as a leader in smart governance and digital identity solutions.
