Updating Contact Information Online

You can easily update your contact details through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) online platform. Here’s how:

1. Visit the ICP Smart Services Portal: Go to smartservices.icp.gov.ae.
2. Select ‘Public Services’: Navigate to the ‘Public Services’ section and click on ‘Personal Information – Update Personal Information’.
3. Start the Service: Click ‘Start Services’ to begin the process.
4. Enter Personal Details: Provide your nationality, passport number, full name, and date of birth.
5. Input Your File Number: This number, found on your UAE residence visa, consists of several sections. If you need help locating it, refer to the guidance available on the portal.
6. Enter Your Emirates ID Number: This is printed on the front of your Emirates ID card.
7. Provide Updated Contact Information: Enter your new email and mobile number. A one-time password (OTP) will be sent to your new mobile number for verification.
8. Update Your Address (if necessary): Complete the captcha verification.
9. Confirm Details and Make Payment: Review your information, confirm it, and proceed to the payment portal.

In-Person Updates for Major Changes

While updating mobile numbers and addresses can be done online, certain changes require a visit to an ICP customer happiness center. These include:

• Changing your surname (e.g., after marriage)
• Updating your occupation
• Changing the photograph on your Emirates ID

For these updates, a new Emirates ID will need to be printed.
