UAE: Two Emirates Ban Sale of Zamzam Water in Shops

Ajman Municipality has announced a ban on the sale, distribution, and display of Zamzam water in commercial establishments.

This decision follows a similar announcement from Sharjah, which also prohibits shops from selling the sacred water.

Authorities have urged the public to refrain from purchasing Zamzam water from retail outlets. Violations of this ban can be reported by calling 80070.

Zamzam water, sourced from the well located in the Grand Mosque in Makkah, is considered a significant source of sustenance and healing for Muslims.

Pilgrims can still obtain Zamzam water from authorized distribution points in Saudi Arabia, including major airports and designated supply projects.

Recent enforcement actions revealed attempts to sell counterfeit Zamzam water in the UAE, highlighting the need for strict adherence to regulations surrounding this revered resource.
