About The Job:

  • Preparing the coffees, teas and other drinks for guests.
  • Making sure that the beverages are prepared according to standards and ensuring quality when served.
  • Selling and serving baked goods and other food.
  • Using the cash register to put in orders for and do payments with guests.
  • Being knowledgeable about the menu and products being served in the outlet.
  • Checking products on expiry and throw products out when necessary, noting it on the spills list.
  • Maintaining the work place with the standards and hygiene regulation in mind.
  • Notifying management when there are potential safety hazards.
  • Clearing and cleaning surfaces and tables.
  • Help management to improve service; coming with ideas, give feedback from guests and colleagues and attend departmental meeting when necessary.
  • Routinely does other cleaning jobs like the floors, windows, storage and shelves.
  • Checking and preparing the work place before the shift starts and at the end of the shift cleaning the work space.
  • Making sure that the inventory is up to what is necessary to run the shift smoothly, notify supervisors if anything is missing.
  • Restock supplies and shelves when necessary.
  • Working together with the team in an efficient manner where communication is key.
  • Being friendly and courteous towards Associates and guests.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, beverage recipes, and quality standards.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Food handler’s certification or willingness to obtain one.
