Emirates Airline Joins ‘Be My Eyes’ Service for Enhanced Accessibility

This initiative is part of Emirates’ commitment to improving accessibility and support for passengers with disabilities.
The ‘Be My Eyes’ app, which has around 700,000 users and connects to over 8 million volunteers worldwide, provides real-time visual assistance through video calls.
Once Emirates is integrated, users can select the airline from the app and initiate a live video or audio call for support with tasks such as booking tickets, checking flight schedules, or navigating the airport.

In addition to this groundbreaking service, Emirates showcased its first wheelchair-accessible chauffeur-driven vehicles at the expo.
These vehicles, equipped with an electric wheelchair lift, are designed for first and business class passengers and can be booked via the Emirates call center.
Emirates also introduced a sign language robot that will assist deaf and hearing-impaired travelers by providing travel information and guidance through specific sign language gestures.
This innovative technology aims to enhance communication and support for passengers with hearing challenges.
Furthermore, the airline is developing a cube-sized box to safely transport wheelchairs and mobility aids during flights, ensuring secure handling and protection.
Other features being introduced include a sensory guide for neurodivergent passengers, noise-cancellation headphones, and accessible inflight entertainment options.
Emirates’ initiatives reflect its dedication to inclusivity, with over 29,000 staff members having completed training on autism and hidden disabilities to better assist all travelers.
