How to Book a Hala Taxi on WhatsApp:

  1. Save the Hala WhatsApp Number: 800 – HALATAXI.
    If your WhatsApp number is not a UAE number, add the country code (+971) and save the number HALATAXI (4252-8294).
  2. Start the Booking: Send a ‘Hi’ and follow the prompts to book your ride.

  • How can I pay for my Hala ride booked through WhatsApp?

Payments can be made using cash, credit/debit cards, or Apple Pay. You’ll receive an estimated fare before confirming your booking, and payment is made at the end of the trip to your Captain. No payment information is required during the booking process.

  • Can I change or add a payment method through WhatsApp?

You cannot change or add a payment method via WhatsApp. Payments can only be made in cash or with credit/debit cards in the taxi.

  • Are there additional fees for booking via WhatsApp?

No additional fees apply when booking Hala through WhatsApp. The fare remains the same as if booked through the Careem app, and you’ll see the estimated fare before confirming.

Yes, a receipt will be sent to you in the chat at the end of your ride.

  • What should I know before canceling a ride on WhatsApp?

If you cancel, you have a grace period of 5 minutes. If you cancel after this period and your Captain is on their way, a cancellation fee of AED 12 will be charged and added to your next booking. If your Captain cancels, a new Captain will be assigned immediately.

  • What car types are available?

Currently, only our most popular 4-seater sedans can be booked through WhatsApp.

  • Why is my account blocked?

Accounts may be blocked for reasons such as multiple cancellations, sending spam messages, unidentifiable prompts, or inappropriate behavior during previous rides. If you think you’ve been blocked in error, type ‘Help’ and follow the prompts to unblock your account.
